White houses

Respect for the nearby historic centre of the village was a major guideline for us in the design of the twenty solitary houses. The single-storey buildings with a rectangular plan and a gable roof honour the basic archetypal shape of the Czech country house. The individual houses are arranged perpendicularly to the main street, to which they thus turn with their facades. The appearance of the house honours the surrounding buildings thanks to the materials used: white plaster on the facades, wood for the window frames and burnt tiles on the roof. The main expressive element of the houses are the gable walls, which are blank, with only one small sign at the top below the ridge.
