Growing from our roots

We were founded as a small studio under the leadership of the creative duo of Jana and Miroslav Stach. Over time, we have grown, both in the number of people and in the volume, complexity and variety of commissions we are able to cover. We also moved from the Stachs' living room to a real studio in Karlín. But our roots have remained, we know each other's strengths throughout the team and we can talk openly about everything, which is the foundation of any creative process.

From the very beginning, we also carry with us another important thing:

balance between masculine and feminine energy, rational and emotional approach, technique and empathy.

So we look at each project with a dual lens and can come up with different perspectives from both sides.

We approached the design of the site with great humility. Humility towards a place whose history has been written for centuries. Tasovice inspired us to return to the tradition of single-storey oblong houses with a gable roof. However, we complemented the tradition with contemporary expressive elements such as generous glazing facing the garden or open living space up to the roof truss. And as the icing on the cake, we took the liberty of using a small detail, a small window in the gable, to distinguish the houses from each other and bring a little playfulness to the site

Grandma's house

At the beginning of the process, we were faced with the beautiful task of sensitively adapting the layout of a house in a tight-knit area of 1980s terraced houses with stunning genius loci to suit the needs of a young couple.

The existing layout of the house was very successful, the individual rooms on the upper floor, although very small, have well thought-out proportions that allow them to be arranged in several ways. The only limitation that had to be taken into account is the low headroom.

the story of DoDo

In 2023, we had the opportunity to participate in Dodo relocation to the new premises.

Start up Dodo has experienced over the past few years great growthduring which he gradually occupied several floors of one building. At a certain point the situation seemed unbearable, so they came up with the idea of moving to more suitable premises.

Our task was to ensure complete package - from the design of the new layout, through interior design, to assistance in implementation.

Come and see how we did it.

Czech Interior Award 2024: We know the best Czech private and commercial interiors. TV Bydlení Award goes to the unique entrance hall of a family villa

We are very happy about Price TVbydleni.cz, which was awarded to the design of the entrance area of the House under the Willow.

We were given the opportunity to present the entire implementation in the programme Works by architects and designers. You can look forward to a comprehensive presentation of a family villa on a plot with a beautiful garden.

The award was presented by the CEO of Living Media Group and well-known moderator Míra Hejdawho was a member of the jury. "The interior reflects two fundamental things that we have managed to combine here with the exterior. That place is one of the most important attributes of a good life and the interior should be able to connect it as much as possible. The nature around, including the pond, is essentially part of the interior here. Likewise that less is sometimes more and minimalism doesn't have to mean empty space. The nature theme is continued with mosses embedded in the wall, for example, and direct light was used to reflect off the wooden floor, bringing the modern concrete to life. It's a stunning connection in a modern way and it all forms a whole without the need for additional furnishings. The painting doesn't have to hang on the wall - you look at it from the windows every day and every day is a little bit different," Says Míra Hejda.

We invite you to watch a report from the gala evening.

A vision that inspires

With every project we work on, a new story is emerging.

We always start with a joint meeting with the client in our studio, where we discuss the assignment in detail. The ability to listen is at the heart of our work, as is the ability to find a balance between the elements that influence the whole process.

The process of creation is an elemental affair in which many variables enter. How do you strike a balance between the brief, regulations, budget, while still maintaining the idea and bringing quality to the public realm? How not to get lost in communication with the authorities and not to deviate from the original intention?

Architecture is an amazing and complex field. It is based on the thoughts of individuals as firmly as on cooperation between different professions. Architects, urban planners, designers, engineers, builders, workers, they all leave their mark on the construction.

Our work emphasizes adaptability and innovation, whether it's a sensible layout that allows for easy future transformations or a choice of materials that are durable over time and not subject to fashion trends.

Each story is unique, each path must be trodden anew.

We are at home in technology

We enthusiastically follow developments in technical fields and are not afraid to take advantage of innovations that move us towards the future. Recently, we have entered the fascinating world of augmented reality. And HoloLens glasses have quickly become more than just a work tool for us - they've become a key element of our creative process.

When we create a visualisation of our joint project for you, we don't just guide you through a paper or monitor space. With HoloLens, we enter a 3D dimension where your visualization becomes not just an image, but an interactive environment you can literally step into.

Your ideas about architecture become a reality that you can explore from all angles.

We are not afraid to invite artificial intelligence into our work. We are already seeing how the advent of AI is transforming all industries, including our own. While the classic pencil and paper combination will remain part of our daily lives, we are engaging in a world where AI works with our creativity.
