Oasis in the centre of Prague
Black kitchen
The owners, a young active couple, were looking for an oasis in the centre of Prague. The basic expressive element is the muted shades of anthracite grey and black, colours that calm the mind and at the same time bear a strong colour accent of mustard yellow, the owner's favourite colour. The cool steel that runs through the interior comes in several forms. The steel, bespoke table legs were used to support the kitchen island. By not extending all the way to the floor, the island lightens the interior considerably and brings the living space together. The steel shelves, which are set into the wall like razor blades, create an understated bookcase. Last but not least, the anthracite grey steel elements appear on the mobile furniture and accessories, i.e. the table, chairs, coffee table and lamps.
