Residential house on a slope: harmony of architecture and nature

apartment house Sedlčany

On a significantly sloping plot of land, we have created an apartment building that is divided into three harmonious parts in terms of design and functionality. The underground part of the building houses the apartment units, which are arranged in terraces and connected by a common underground garage in the rear. This architectural approach makes efficient use of the sloping terrain while providing residents with practical parking. The floors above ground, which grow out of this underground base, host additional residential units. These spaces are primarily south-facing, allowing the apartments to enjoy spectacular views of the city. These units also include generous loggias that provide additional space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. This uniquely designed hillside home not only minimizes the impact on nature by maintaining a favorable excavation balance despite the presence of an underground garage, but also offers public living spaces. Between the buildings and in adjacent areas of the site, these spaces are carefully designed to support social life and provide residents with places to meet and relax. Overall, this apartment building represents a thoughtful combination of modern living, respect for the natural environment and support for community life.
